I remember buying my first adult mattress years ago. I couldn’t afford much so I went with the cheapest one I could find that still felt comfy, and it served Eddie and I well for a while! But over the past couple years I’ve noticed lumps forming in that old mattress. I’ve been tossing and turning in my sleep more frequently and waking up with back/neck pain too. When choosing a new mattress, we knew we wanted to go with a hybrid (memory foam + innerspring system) as opposed to just memory foam or just innerspring. Memory foam alone can get really hot (Eddie and I are very warm sleepers) and spring mattresses don’t have the level of plush comfort we wanted. Directly above the coils are layers of premium foams, including a high-density gel memory foam that contours to the body for personalized support. The ContourFit Design allows the body to get closer to the pressure relieving foams for adaptive comfort. Yes, please!
Beautyrest’s partnership with SEAQUAL was a big draw for us. The sustainable fabric in this mattress is made from plastic water bottles taken out of the ocean. The Harmony collection has converted more than 3.8 million plastic bottles from the ocean into luxury fabric in 2020 alone! Amazing, right? The brand expects to recover and use over 23 million more bottles from the ocean across the collection in 2021.
We love that this mattress had upgrade options so we could really personalize it to fit our needs. As I mentioned, Eddie and I sleep very warm, so we went with the Cooling Upgrade. There are actual diamond particles in our mattress to help conduct heat away from the body! There’s also a suite of cooling technology layers and RapidCool gel memory foam to help us stay comfortable all night long.
The moment I laid down on this mattress for the first time I audibly gasped. I honestly have never felt a comfier bed in my life! Eddie kept saying “Wow!” as we laid on it, testing it out - we actually didn’t think such a comfortable mattress existed. Ha! It may sound cliché, but it truly does feel like we’re sleeping on a cloud. A soft, cozy, plush, supportive cloud!
