The Most Stylish Airbnb In Twentynine Palms, CA

When my dear friend Lindsay Hollinger of Casa Joshua Tree told me she had bought a second house to turn into a full time Airbnb, I knew we were in for some interior magic y’all. Together with her bff and business partner James Burial, they renovated and transformed this 1,200 square foot 3 bedroom home into the ultimate desert retreat, fondly named #ThatDesertHouse. Exploring Borrego Springs

Exploring Borrego Springs

Up until last month, I had never even heard of Borrego Springs. I was chatting with a friend about how I wanted to go on a lil getaway to a California city I'd never been before, when he mentioned this darling desert town. Just a 3 hour drive from LA and surrounded by the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, it was just the change of scenery Eddie and I were looking for. With a population of under 4,000 people, this small town has no big chains and is California's first Dark Sky Communitywhich means it's dedicated to protecting the night sky from light pollution. Star gazer heaven! While we did a lot of relaxing at our amazing hotel, we also ventured out to explore our surroundings. Come take a look at some of our adventures!

Borrego Springs: Where To Stay

Borrego Springs: Where To Stay

Eddie and I started a tradition last year of going on a lil Christmas getaway to a California city we'd never been to before. We stayed in a darling Airstream in Temecula last year, and this year we decided to check out the beautiful desert town of Borrego Springs, located in the northeast area of San Diego county. As much as I love LA, it's always so refreshing to get out of the big city and take a few days to relax and recharge - and Borrego Springs is really the perf place to do just that. Surrounded by Anza-Borrego Desert State Parkand being California's first Dark Sky Community, you won't find any big chains in this charming small town. I wanted to share our experience staying at the Borrego Valley Inn with you, and spoiler alert - it was wonderful. Keep scrolling for lots of pics from our stay!
