Beautiful Airbnbs For Design Lovers

This post was written in partnership with Airbnb, all opinions expressed are my own - as always!

I don’t know about you, but the design of an Airbnb is one of the first things I look at when deciding where to stay. It’s right up there with location and price in my deciding factors! Staying in a beautifully designed space is the perfect way to soak up inspiration for your own home, or even just experience a design style and way of life that is completely different from your own. I’m always on the lookout for the next gorge getaway location, so I wanted to share with you 10 Airbnbs on my list that are designed to perfection. What makes these homes so special is their unique style (houseplants being a common theme, of course!) It’s obvious the owners have put so much love and care into every detail, so keep scrolling and get ready to add some new places to your getaway wishlist.

THE HUNTER BARNHOUSE (Jewett, New York)

I adore the earthy color palette and rustic wood accents in this gorgeous home. Looks like the perfect place to slow down, drink a glass (or two) of wine, and let your mind disconnect and wander. The owners write that it is a place “designed for friends and family, for good food and good conversation.” Cheers to that!

ECO LUXURY FARMHOUSE OASIS (Graton, California)

This light & bright home is a design lovers paradise! From the bohemian pool cabana, to the sun-soaked kitchen and luxurious bathroom, if I stayed here I might not ever leave - ha! It even has it an infrared sauna outside by the pool, let’s be serious!!

KRISEL’S GLASS CABIN (Palm Springs)

This beautiful Mid-Century Modern home was created by modernist architect William Krisel in 1958. The living area blends seamlessly with the desert outside, and how stunning is this pool sitch? Find me in the cedar hot tub squealing over every little detail.

CASA JOSHUA TREE (Joshua Tree, California)

I’m lucky to call the owner of Casa Joshua Tree, Lindsay Hollinger, a dear friend. I’ve had the privilege of spending time in this peaceful desert retreat and can’t recommend it enough. Such a bright, airy home - perfect for a cozy hang sesh by the fireplace. Stargaze from the rustic swing seat and soak up the creative energy in the plant-filled bohemian lounge.

SPIRITUAL HAVEN IN GREENPOINT (Brooklyn, New York)

This was one of the first Airbnbs I ever stayed at, many years back. It’s what made me fall in love with Airbnb homes, actually. So incredibly sweet & comfortable, this plant-filled, Brooklyn railroad style apartment sits on a quiet street overlooking beautiful McGolrick Park. It even includes a meditation/yoga room! You’ll feel right at home here (it’s dog friendly too)

A-FRAME OASIS 10 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN PALM SPRINGS (Whitewater, California)

I couldn’t hit the heart button fast enough when I came across this stunning home! The vaulted ceilings, delicate pastel shades, lovely furniture and decor, and that outdoor space - swooooon. Recline in the hammock, soak in the outdoor bath, and just take it easy in this beautifully designed space.

AFRICAN-INSPIRED ECO TENT (Vista, California)

Eddie and I had the loveliest glamping experience at this absolutely gorgeous eco-tent a couple years back! Go off-grid and bask in the nostalgic camping vibe, surrounded by South African protea flowers. Relieve your aches and pains in the solar powered shower after a long hike, then head to the deck to cook up some magic in the outdoor kitchen.

PEACEFUL PARADISE WITH MOUNTAIN VIEW (Topanga, California)

Step back in time in this 70s-inspired space designed to make the most of the view. Thoughtfully collected vintage pieces blend with numerous plants, plentiful books, and a record player. The natural woods and trailing pothos in the kitchen are giving me all the heart eyes!

JTH TUCSON (Tucson, Arizona)

JTH Tucson is a remote 5 suite inn bordering the west side of Saguaro National Park. I’ve had my eye on this dreamy space since the owners, Sara & Rich, were renovating it! Situated on 40 acres of land with a forest of Saguaro cactus, native plants, and an abundance of wildlife, this is a space to reflect, reset, and create.

NEWLY RENOVATED OAK TREE A-FRAME (Lake Arrowhead, California)

The owners say that no expense was spared for this 100% remodeled cabin, and it shows! Every beautiful detail was planned with guests in mind. The modern, Scandinavian, and mid-century inspired decor is as inviting and cozy as it is magazine worthy.
